Key service: Carpet, upholstery and hard floor cleaning

Can you tell us a bit about your business and how it started?

Mark is a specialist in carpet, upholstery, and hard floor cleaning. He launched his Zero Dry Time franchise back in 2017, after leaving a long-standing job at Toyota. Tired of the shift work, Mark boldly moved into business ownership, and he hasn’t looked back.

“Quite simply, I’d had enough of working shifts, and the opportunity arose, so I grabbed it. My work/life balance is so much better now, I spend far more time at home with my family,” says Mark.

What do you appreciate most about working with Harnce Business, and how have we collaborated in the past?

While we haven’t yet collaborated on a project, Mark has called on us for plumbing support in the past:

“I’ve used Harnce’s services and it was top class, as expected. I’ve had no problem referring them to my customers.”

That mutual respect goes a long way in our network, and we’re proud to count Mark as one of our trusted local professionals.

What products or services do you offer that could benefit our clients?

Mark offers a fast-drying, no-fuss service. His cleaning process leaves carpets dry and ready to use immediately, which is ideal for busy households or workplaces where downtime isn’t an option. His service also eliminates the usual risks of mould, mildew, or carpet shrinkage, which can happen with traditional wet cleaning methods.

Alongside carpets, Mark cleans all types of upholstery, including leather, fabric and suede, and can also clean, seal, and add finishes to hard floors. Whether it’s your sofa or your showroom floor, Mark helps it look its best with no soggy aftermath.

Do you have any promotions or services that would be particularly useful for our clients right now?

Right now, Mark is offering a great deal: 50% off additional carpet cleaning when you have your suite cleaned. It’s an ideal time to freshen up the floors before summer entertaining or workplace reopening's.

With energy prices on the rise, homeowners and landlords are looking for practical ways to reduce heating costs while keeping homes warm and comfortable. At Harnce Heating and Plumbing, we believe small changes can make a big difference. Here are some expert-backed strategies to lower your heating bills without sacrificing warmth. Upgrade to Energy-Efficient Heating Systems If your boiler is over 10 years old, it may be time to consider an upgrade. Modern boilers are designed to be much more energy-efficient, helping to cut down on unnecessary energy use. If you’re unsure about the efficiency of your current system, our team can provide a professional assessment. Optimise Your Heating Controls Investing in smart thermostats and thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) can significantly reduce energy waste. The new Honeywell Home Thera-6 TRV, for instance, is designed to help those with vision impairments easily control their heating while maintaining efficiency. Smart controls allow you to set heating schedules, ensuring you’re only using energy when you need it. Consider a Recirculation System Did you know that recirculation systems can save an average household 7,787 litres of water per year? They can also reduce gas bills by up to 38% by ensuring that hot water is available instantly, preventing unnecessary water and heat loss. Improve Insulation and Draught-Proofing A well-insulated home retains heat better, reducing the need for constant heating. Consider upgrading loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and sealing draughts around windows and doors. Even simple solutions like heavy curtains and draught excluders can make a noticeable impact. Adopt Smart Heating Solutions Heat pumps and multi-temperature systems are becoming increasingly popular as energy-efficient alternatives. Solutions like Danfoss Ally and Icon2 integrate seamlessly with heat pumps and allow for zoned heating, meaning you only heat the rooms that are in use. Regular Boiler Servicing & Maintenance A well-maintained boiler operates more efficiently, reducing energy waste. Harnce Heating and Plumbing offers annual servicing through our Members Club , ensuring your system is running at peak performance while preventing unexpected breakdowns. Get Expert Advice Ashley, our Utility Guy, is always on hand with expert advice on how to cut your energy bills further. Check out our Tapping into Talent Blog for more details.
